In the first quarter of 2025, the social app market in Brazil showcased varying performance trends across the top five apps on a unified platform, as reported by Sensor Tower.
TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE saw a significant surge in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $463K by the end of March. Downloads experienced a peak of 1.9M in mid-January, while active users fluctuated, starting at 67.1M and ending the quarter at 65.4M.
Instagram maintained a strong presence with weekly revenues initially at $422K, eventually declining to $260K. Downloads reached a high of 1.1M in January, and active users remained robust, hovering around the 102M mark throughout the quarter.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat showed steady weekly revenue growth, reaching $137K by March. Downloads were relatively stable, with a slight increase to 22.7K in March, while active users demonstrated a recovery, closing at 910K after dipping earlier in the quarter.
SuperLive- Live Stream & Chat experienced consistent growth in revenue, culminating at $51K by the end of March. Downloads increased steadily, peaking at 58K, and active users rose significantly from 111K to 254K over the quarter.
BuzzCast - Live Video Chat App saw a gradual increase in revenue, reaching $36K by the quarter's end. Downloads fluctuated, with a notable dip mid-quarter but ending at 19K, while active users remained stable around 150K.
