In the second quarter of 2025, the travel and local app landscape on Android in the Middle East saw varied performance across the top five applications, according to data from Sensor Tower.
Baly | Order Taxi and Food from Two Rivers, based in Iraq, showed fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 293 and reaching a high of 377 by the week of June 9. The app maintained a consistent number of weekly active users, hovering around 2.6K to 2.7K.
Nusuk | نسك, published by the Ministry of Hajj and Umra in Saudi Arabia, experienced significant download activity. Weekly downloads peaked at over 90K in early June, with active users exceeding 1.2M in the same period before a decline to around 496K by the end of June.
Instabridge: WiFi Hotspot Map from Instabridge Sweden AB saw a steady demand with weekly downloads ranging from 13.5K to over 20K. Active users remained stable, averaging around 145K, while revenue showed minor fluctuations, peaking at $62.
Wego - Flights, Hotels, Travel by Wego.com, based in Singapore, had consistent download numbers, with a slight drop from 38.2K to 22.4K throughout the quarter. Active user engagement was strong, maintaining a base of around 318K to 389K.
TaxiF - A Better Way to Ride from Estonia saw download variations, starting at approximately 36.9K and dropping to 17.7K in early June before recovering to 26K by the end of the quarter. Active users held steady, averaging around 250K.
