The second quarter of 2025 saw interesting trends in the food delivery app market in Italy. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, gives us a closer look at the performance of Glovo: Food Delivery, Takeaway, Too Good To Go: End Food Waste, Deliveroo: Food & Shopping, Just Eat - Food Delivery, and Breasy.
Glovo: Food Delivery, Takeaway experienced a notable rise in weekly downloads, starting from around 39K and peaking at nearly 50K by the end of June. Weekly active users fluctuated, beginning at 1.56M and settling around 1.5M.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste saw a moderate decline in weekly downloads from 45K to about 30K. However, its weekly active users remained relatively stable, with figures hovering around 1.3M to 1.4M.
Deliveroo: Food & Shopping maintained a consistent download pattern, starting at 31K and reaching 36K by the end of the quarter. The app had a stable number of active users, ranging from 1.2M to 1.4M throughout the period.
Just Eat - Food Delivery showed a gradual increase in downloads, moving from 21K to nearly 25K. Active users also saw a steady rise, beginning at 763K and closing the quarter with over 800K.
Breasy had the lowest download numbers among the top five, with weekly downloads fluctuating between 3K and 4K. Active users remained consistent, with slight variations around the 45K mark.
