In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of top food delivery apps in the United States showcased intriguing trends, as revealed by Sensor Tower data. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads and active user metrics for these apps.
DoorDash - Food Delivery experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 494.9K in early May. The app maintained a strong presence with weekly active users fluctuating around 26M, despite a slight decline towards the end of the quarter.
Uber Eats: Food & Groceries saw weekly downloads rise notably in late June, reaching about 255.7K. Active users demonstrated a consistent pattern, averaging around 11M, with a notable peak in early April.
The DoorDash - Dasher app showed a gradual decline in downloads, from 263.8K at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 202.9K by its end. However, active users increased steadily, culminating at about 5.4M in mid-June.
Instacart: Groceries & Food displayed a significant rise in downloads, peaking at 263.5K in the final week of June. Active users remained stable, averaging around 10M throughout the quarter.
Lastly, Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced a peak in downloads in late May, reaching 182.4K. Its active user base showed growth, peaking at about 3.4M in late May.
