In the second quarter of 2025, the hypercasual gaming market in the United States showcased dynamic trends across key metrics such as downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s an overview of the top five games based on data from Sensor Tower.
Block Blast! saw a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 631K and peaking at 870K mid-quarter. The game maintained a strong weekly active user base, averaging around 8.7M, despite a slight decline toward the end of the quarter.
Vita Mahjong experienced a consistent growth in weekly revenue, culminating at $12K in the last week of June. Its weekly downloads also showed an upward trend, reaching 353K, while active users increased steadily, ending the quarter at 1.16M.
Cookingdom demonstrated significant growth in weekly revenue, peaking at $21.5K in late May. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a notable high of 315K, while active users decreased from 431K to 168K over the quarter.
For Word Search Explorer®, weekly revenue peaked at $36.3K in April and then gradually declined. Downloads started strong at 336K but decreased to 168K by the end of June. Active users also saw a drop from 748K to 560K.
Finally, I Am Cat showed a decrease in weekly revenue from $9K to $4.7K. Downloads began at 366K, later stabilizing around 166K, while active users ended the quarter slightly up at 835K.
