In the second quarter of 2025, the sandbox game category in Europe saw interesting trends across the top five applications on the unified platform, combining both iOS and Android data.
Roblox from Roblox Corporation showed a robust increase in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $3M by the end of June. Weekly downloads also saw a significant rise, peaking at around 879K. The game maintained a strong user base, with weekly active users growing steadily from 43M to 57M during the quarter.
Minecraft: Dream it, Build it! by Mojang displayed a gradual decline in weekly revenue, dropping to roughly $517K by the end of the quarter. Downloads experienced a slight decrease, averaging around 129K weekly, while active users fluctuated, ending the quarter at approximately 2.4M.
Melon: Sandbox from Payge Ltd experienced modest revenue with a slight uptick at $24K in the last week of June. Downloads varied throughout the quarter, closing at around 135K per week. Active users increased steadily, reaching nearly 4M.
Blockman GO by GVERSE INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. showed relatively stable revenue, hovering around $13K weekly. Weekly downloads decreased towards the quarter's end, falling to approximately 32K. Active users remained consistent, ending the quarter at about 437K.
Growtopia from Ubisoft displayed a moderate increase in revenue, closing at $16K. Downloads remained low, while active users witnessed a slight increase, ending at around 19K.
