In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of top air travel apps on Android in Australia showed varied trends in downloads and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.
The Virgin Australia app saw fluctuations in its weekly downloads, starting at approximately 9.2K and experiencing peaks of around 9.3K by late August. Active users showed an overall increase from about 90K to 107K mid-quarter, though it ended the quarter with approximately 97K.
Qantas Airways maintained a steady presence with weekly downloads ranging from 5.5K to 8.9K, peaking in late August. Active users varied considerably, beginning at 234K, dipping mid-quarter, and rebounding to approximately 237K by the end.
Jetstar experienced modest weekly downloads, ranging from 4.5K to 6.6K. Active users showed a positive trend, rising from around 48K to a peak of 66K by the end of September.
The Flightradar24 Flight Tracker had consistent weekly downloads of about 3.2K to 4.6K, while its weekly revenue started at $7.1K, saw a slight decrease mid-quarter, and ended at $6.1K. Active users remained stable, averaging around 100K throughout.
Finally, the Velocity Frequent Flyer app showed steady downloads, fluctuating between 2.3K and 3.8K. Active users started at 47K, peaked at 53K in early September, and slightly decreased to 46K by the end of the quarter.
