In the third quarter of 2025, the top dating applications in New Zealand showed varied performance across several key metrics. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into weekly downloads, revenue, and active user trends for these popular apps.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Date maintained a consistent weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $27K in early September. Downloads fluctuated, reaching up to 2.5K in early July, while weekly active users grew steadily from 26.4K to 33.4K by the end of the quarter.
OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative saw its revenue peak at around $1.9K in early August, with downloads increasing significantly towards the end of September, reaching 3K. Active users also rose, starting at 5.7K and ending the quarter at 6.6K.
Tinder Dating App: Date & Chat experienced strong weekly revenue, consistently above $90K, peaking in early July at $101K. Downloads were relatively stable with a slight peak at 2K mid-August, while active users remained around 29K throughout the quarter.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date had a steady revenue stream, peaking at about $36K at the start of the quarter. Downloads hovered around 1.2K, and active users saw a gradual decline from 23.6K to 17.4K.
Couple Joy - Relationship App showed modest revenue, peaking at $514 in early July. Downloads saw a spike of 1.4K in the same period, while active users increased slightly from 2.4K to 3.4K by the end of September.
