In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of the top food delivery apps in Australia showcased intriguing trends across weekly downloads and active users, as tracked by Sensor Tower.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced a peak in weekly downloads, reaching around 52K in late July. This was followed by a gradual decline, ending the quarter with approximately 23K downloads. Active user numbers saw a rise from 260K at the start to around 347K by the end of September.
DoorDash - Food Delivery showed a consistent download trend, peaking at 37K in mid-July and closing the quarter with 35K downloads. Active users fluctuated but ended with an increase, starting at 1M and reaching approximately 1.1M.
Uber Eats: Food & Groceries maintained stable download figures around the 25K mark towards the end of the quarter. Active user numbers were robust, starting at 1.6M and peaking at 1.8M in mid-September.
BWS on tAPP downloads showed a downward trend from 30K in early July to about 20K by the end of September. Active users, however, remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 200K mark.
DoorDash - Dasher had a downward trend in downloads, starting at 9K and dropping to 6.5K by the end of the quarter. Active users increased significantly, climbing from 86K to over 123K.
