In the third quarter of 2025, the leading photo and video applications on a unified platform in Mexico showed varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, offers a snapshot of each app's performance.
Canva: AI Photo & Video Editor experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $330K at the end of September. Downloads also surged, reaching around 310K in the final week, while active users climbed steadily from 7.4M to over 12.1M.
CapCut - Video Editor saw its revenue rise to about $438K by late September. While downloads fluctuated, they peaked at around 361K. Active users showed a slight increase, returning to a high of approximately 11M at the quarter's close.
YouTube maintained a strong revenue stream, reaching $632K in the last week of the quarter. Downloads remained stable, averaging around 60K weekly, and active users consistently hovered around 79M.
Instagram showed stable performance, with downloads peaking at 386K mid-quarter. Revenue, however, decreased slightly, closing at around $57K. Active users increased modestly, ending at approximately 44.8M.
Snapchat experienced fluctuating downloads, which dropped to 160K before rebounding to 188K. Revenue showed a gradual rise, reaching about $15.7K. Active users remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at around 9.5M.
