The third quarter of 2025 saw varied performance among the top social apps in the Netherlands on a unified platform, with data provided by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at each app's trends in downloads, revenue, and active users.
Facebook experienced fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at $21.7K in late July. Weekly downloads showed a mid-quarter rebound, climbing from 18.9K in July to 34.2K by the end of September. Active users slightly decreased from 4M to 3.8M over the quarter.
TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE maintained strong revenue, nearly reaching $488K at the start of the quarter. Downloads began at 37K, dipped mid-quarter, and then rose again to 37.4K. Active users hovered around 3.3M, with minor fluctuations throughout.
Instagram saw a revenue peak of $39K in late July, with a gradual decline towards the end of September, finishing at $22.1K. Downloads started at 28.3K, steadily declining to 18.6K before recovering to 29K. Active users remained stable around 3.3M.
Threads did not generate revenue but saw an increase in downloads, starting at 32.1K and ending at 34.9K. Active users varied between 1.4M and 1.6M, showing slight fluctuations throughout the quarter.
Bigo Live - Live Streaming App experienced a decrease in downloads from 4.7K to 3.2K. Revenue fluctuated, peaking at $26.9K initially and ending at $21.9K. Active users remained relatively constant, averaging around 30K.
