2026 State of Mobile is Live!

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the top consumer finance applications on the Android platform in Mexico demonstrated varying trends in downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Banco del Bienestar Móvil saw a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, peaking at around 291K in early November. Despite a decline in weekly active users from 6.6M in late October to 4.2M by the end of December, the app maintained a strong presence.
BBVA México experienced a steady download rate throughout the quarter, with numbers slightly decreasing from 159K in early October to 124K by the end of December. The app's active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 15M to 16M.
Nu showed consistent download figures, ranging from 127K to 147K weekly. Active users also maintained a steady flow, peaking at over 7.1M mid-December before settling at 6.9M by the end of the quarter.
Openbank México initially saw strong weekly downloads, reaching 179K in late October, before declining to 78K by the end of December. Active users increased early in the quarter, peaking at 1.4M in early December, then slightly decreased to 1.3M.
Finally, Banco Azteca maintained a stable download rate, mostly hovering around 115K to 139K. Active users showed a gradual decline from 7.5M at the start of October to 6.8M by the end of December.
