In the fourth quarter of 2025, the food delivery app landscape in Germany saw significant activity, as captured by Sensor Tower. Below, we delve into the performance of the top five Android apps in this category.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, starting strong at around 42K in early October and gradually declining to approximately 21K by the end of December. The app maintained a robust user base, with weekly active users peaking at over 1.6M in mid-October before dipping to about 1.1M towards the end of the year.
Uber Eats: Food and Grocery showed varied download trends, starting at 34K and seeing a decline to around 24K by the end of the quarter. However, its active user count grew steadily, reaching approximately 479K in the final week of December.
Lieferando.de maintained a relatively stable download pattern, with figures ranging from 19K to 26K. Active users demonstrated resilience, starting at 1.7M and closing the quarter with a slight increase to 1.8M.
Picnic Online Supermarket experienced a consistent decrease in downloads from 15K to 11K over the quarter. Despite this, active users surged to over 500K in mid-December, indicating strong user engagement.
Lastly, Wolt Delivery: Food and more showed a steady increase in downloads, ending the quarter at about 14K. Active users fluctuated, peaking at 411K in mid-November before settling at 354K by the year’s end.
