In the fourth quarter of 2025, the Maps and Navigation category on Android in the United States showcased diverse performance trends among its top applications. Here’s a closer look at the key players, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Uber - Request a ride saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, starting at approximately 128K and declining to around 87K by the end of December. Meanwhile, its weekly active users demonstrated a strong presence, peaking at about 6.5M in mid-December.
Lyft experienced a gradual decrease in weekly downloads from 100K to approximately 78K. Its active user base showed variability, with a significant drop to 3.3M in late December.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a steady download rate, with numbers ranging from 71K to 58K. Active users peaked at about 7.6M in late October, before declining towards the end of the quarter.
Satellite View - Maps - Radar experienced a decrease in both downloads and revenue. Downloads fell from 62K to 23K, and weekly revenue dropped from $2.2K to $283.
Transit - Subway & Bus Times showed consistent weekly downloads, hovering around 33K initially and ending at about 25K. Active users peaked at 1.2M in early December but saw a decline to 796K by the end of the quarter.
