In the fourth quarter of 2025, the Android platform in the Dominican Republic saw significant engagement in the word puzzle game category. According to data from Sensor Tower, here’s how the top five games performed.
NYT Games: Wordle & Crossword by The New York Times Company experienced fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at $32 in mid-December. Weekly downloads varied, reaching a high of 33. Meanwhile, active users saw a gradual decline from 172 to 151.
Wordscapes: Word puzzle game from PeopleFun maintained a consistent performance with weekly downloads climbing to 143 in mid-December. The game’s revenue showed a significant rise with a peak at $40 in the last week of December, while active users decreased from 946 to 704.
Zen Word® - Relax Puzzle Game by Oakever Games started strong with over 1.2K downloads at the beginning of the quarter, but this figure declined to 88 by the end. Revenue remained relatively low, peaking at $65 early in the quarter. Active users also saw a downward trend from 5.3K to 2.6K.
Words With Friends Word Game from Zynga experienced a gradual decline in active users, ending the quarter with 27. Revenue showed a slight fluctuation, peaking at $26 in early October. Downloads were sporadic, with some weeks registering zero.
Finally, Connect Word: Association Game by Hitapps Games had a steady decline in downloads from 122 to 42. Revenue began at zero but reached $37 in late November. Active users decreased from 623 to 556 over the quarter.
