In the fourth quarter of 2025, the iOS food delivery app market in Germany showcased notable trends in downloads and active user engagement. According to data from Sensor Tower, here's a closer look at the performance of the top five apps.
Uber Eats: Food & Groceries saw a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, starting at around 55K in early October and ending the quarter with approximately 42K. Weekly active users remained strong, peaking at over 721K in early December, before ending the year at roughly 693K.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced a steady decline in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads dropped from 35K at the start of October to about 22K by the end of December. Active users also followed a downward trend, starting from 1.3M and closing the quarter at around 1.2M.
Lieferando.de maintained a relatively stable download rate, beginning at 28K and closing the quarter with 31K. The app's active users saw a slight dip mid-quarter but rebounded to about 2M by the end of December.
Wolt Delivery: Food and more experienced gradual growth in weekly downloads, moving from 19K in early October to 29K by the end of December. Active users witnessed a similar upward trend, rising from 492K at the onset of the quarter to approximately 460K at its close.
Finally, Picnic Online Supermarket showed a consistent download pattern, starting at 16K and ending at 11K. The app's active users fluctuated slightly, peaking at 471K mid-December and settling at 437K by year-end.
