In the fourth quarter of 2025, the top music and podcast applications on the iOS platform in Sweden showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. According to Sensor Tower, these insights provide a glimpse into the app market dynamics.
HITSTER from Koninklijke Jumbo B.V saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 1.1K and surging to over 31K by the end of December. The app also experienced a rise in weekly active users, climbing from approximately 4.4K to 48K.
Spotify: Music and Podcasts, a staple in Sweden, maintained a steady weekly revenue, averaging around $40 to $51. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 5.5K in early December, while active users remained strong, surpassing 1.2 million throughout the quarter.
Podme - Podcasts & Audiobooks displayed a consistent revenue stream, with weekly earnings ranging from $20K to $29K. Downloads varied, with highs of 4K in November, and active users showed gradual growth, reaching nearly 19K by the quarter's end.
SoundCloud: The Music You Love had a fluctuating revenue pattern, peaking at over $40K in late November. Downloads remained stable around 2K, while active users decreased slightly, ending the quarter at around 76K.
Shazam: Find Music & Concerts kept a steady download pace, reaching about 2.4K weekly by late December. Active users saw a slight increase, ending December with over 117K.
