The final quarter of 2025 showcased interesting trends in the carpooling and ridesharing sector across Central America. Here's a closer look at how the top apps performed on a unified platform.
DiDi Rider: Affordable rides saw weekly downloads fluctuate throughout the quarter, peaking at approximately 265K in mid-December. Active users experienced a growth trend, reaching over 19M by early December before a decline to 16M at the end of the quarter.
Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady download rate, with a notable increase to 238K in mid-December. Active users rose steadily, hitting a high of over 10M before dropping to 8M as the quarter concluded.
inDrive. Save on city rides had a consistent download pattern, with a slight rise towards the end of the year, reaching 169K. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at 4.5M in mid-December before a drop to 3M by year-end.
DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash experienced a decline in downloads, starting at 121K and falling to 46K by the end of December. However, active users showed a gradual increase, ending the quarter at 1.5M.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver maintained a relatively stable download number, with a slight uptick to 91K in late December. Active users fluctuated, ending the quarter at 1.6M.
