In the fourth quarter of 2025, the top communication apps in Latin America demonstrated varied performance trends on a unified platform, as reported by Sensor Tower.
WhatsApp Messenger saw a slight fluctuation in weekly revenue, peaking at around $64 in mid-October and dipping to $39 in early December. Downloads showed an upward trend towards the end of the quarter, reaching approximately 1.5M in the last week of December. Active users hovered around 400M weekly, maintaining a steady presence throughout the quarter.
WhatsApp Business experienced a peak in revenue in early December at about $179K, before declining to $146K by the end of the month. Downloads peaked in early November at over 1.1M before declining to around 853K in the final week of December. Active users saw a gradual decrease from 113M to 108M over the quarter.
Telegram showed a consistent increase in revenue, reaching nearly $288K by the end of December. However, downloads steadily declined from 1.1M to about 888K. Active users decreased from approximately 115M to 112M over the quarter.
Messenger demonstrated a significant increase in revenue, ending the quarter at $506, up from $151 at the start. Downloads peaked at over 1M in mid-October, then stabilized around 716K. Active users rose from 115M to nearly 118M by the end of the quarter.
Snapchat experienced a notable rise in revenue, peaking at $52K in late December. Downloads increased to over 804K in the same period. Active users varied slightly, starting at approximately 28M and ending the quarter at 27.8M.
