Amazon Music Unlimited is the fastest-growing subscription streaming service on iOS in terms of revenue, new Sensor Tower Store Intelligence estimates show. According to our findings, the Amazon Music app has now crossed $50 million in App Store user spending from subscriptions, and is on track to post its highest-earning month yet.
We project that the app will bring in an estimated $7.4 million from iOS subscribers this month, a year-over-year increase of 572 percent or about 6.7 times more than March 2018, when it grossed approximately $1.1 million.
Amazon Music launched in-app Unlimited subscriptions through the App Store at the beginning of 2018. The app does not monetize through Google Play.
Among all iOS music apps, Amazon Music ranked No. 6 for user spending worldwide in February. That was a dramatic improvement over February 2018 when it ranked No. 29 overall. In the United States, the app was No. 3 for Music category revenue on the App Store last month, behind only Pandora and YouTube Music. It ranked No. 15 in the U.S. the previous year.
