Azur Lane, the naval RPG title from Yostar, has seen worldwide player spending of more than $170 million to date according to Sensor Tower's Store Intelligence estimates. The game's gross revenue of $6.8 million in August marks an almost 200 percent year-over-year increase compared to August 2017's estimated $2.5 million.

The game has seen almost all of its financial success in the East, with Japan ($139 million) and China ($28 million) accounting for an estimated 99 percent of all revenue. These two countries also represent approximately 85 percent of the game's 3.6 million downloads so far. Note that these figures do not include Android revenue or downloads in China.

In August, Azur Lane saw an estimated 661,000 installs worldwide. This figure represents a 286 percent increase in downloads over July, and a 300 percent year-over-year increase compared to August 2017.
