The Pokémon Company’s Pokémon TCG Pocket has reached 100 million downloads
Pokémon TCG Pocket surpassed 100 million global downloads in late February, according to Sensor Tower estimates, proving that fans are more determined than ever to “catch 'em all”.
A champ in the making!
Embarking on a daring adventure with its global launch on October 30, 2024, Pokémon TCG Pocket has quickly evolved into a legendary contender within the mobile space. By capturing the nostalgic essence of Pokémon Trading Cards and streamlining it for a modern audience, the title has climbed to the top of the mobile card battle market in just over a year. Building on its massive success, Pokémon TCG Pocket surpassed 100 million global downloads late last month.
Despite being a relatively new challenger, Pokémon TCG Pocket has already become the top grossing mobile card battler of all time, using a “Super Effective” strategy to outpace long established titles like Hearthstone and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links.
Despite the card battle category being relatively niche, Pokémon TCG Pocket’s performance proved the brand's strength. In 2025, the title ranked third in in-app purchase (IAP) among all IP-based titles, even surpassing Pokémon GO.

While Pokémon TCG Pocket hasn't yet caught up to the success of Pokémon GO, it has quickly surpassed other mobile games of the franchise like Pokémon UNITE and Pokémon Masters EX.
The title is responsible for nearly 37% of IAP revenue for the Pokémon IP in 2026, just behind Pokémon GO. The Pokémon IP is the #3 IP by mobile game revenue in 2025 and in 2026, confirming Pokémon TCG Pocket as a fierce competitor among mobile titles.
