Top Airline Apps in the U.S. for May 2019 by Downloads

The most downloaded airline app in the U.S. for May 2019 was Southwest with close to 642,000 installs, which represented 49 percent year-over-year growth from May 2018. The full top 10 ranking of airline apps in the U.S. by downloads for May 2019 is above. App download estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

American Airlines was the second most installed airline app in the U.S. last month with more than 588,000 installs, which reflected 27 percent growth from May 2018. United Airlines, Delta, and Frontier Airlines rounded out the top five most installed airline apps in the U.S. for the month.

Store Intelligence users can see app download estimates for the above apps in addition to historical performance metrics on the Sensor Tower platform. Our estimates include downloads for the App Store and Google Play in the U.S. between May 1, 2018 and May 31, 2019. Apple apps and Google pre-installed apps are excluded. We report unique installs only. Android estimates do not include third-party stores. Figures represent aggregate installs of all app versions, ex: Facebook and Facebook Lite.
