Top Apps Worldwide for September 2019 by Downloads (Non-Game)

WhatsApp was the most downloaded non-game app worldwide for September 2019 with close to 68 million installs. The countries with the most installs of the app during this period were India at 34 percent of its total downloads and Indonesia at 9 percent. The full top 10 ranking of non-game apps worldwide by downloads for September 2019 is above. App download estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

TikTok was the second most installed non-game app worldwide last month with more than 60 million installs. The countries with the largest number of TikTok installs were India at 44 percent, followed by the United States at 8 percent. Messenger, Facebook, and Instagram rounded out the top five most installed non-game apps worldwide for the month.

Jianying Vlog, a video editing app from TikTok maker ByteDance, was just released in May 2019, and this is its first appearance in the top 10 downloaded apps rankings for App Store Downloads.
