Top Finance Apps in the U.S. for August 2019 by Downloads

Cash App was the most downloaded Finance app in the United States for August 2019 with more than 2.3 million installs, which represented a 2 percent increase from August 2018. The full top 10 ranking of Finance apps in the U.S. by downloads for August 2019 is above. App download estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

Venmo was the second most installed Finance app in the U.S. last month with more than two million installs, which represented a 29 percent increase from August 2018. PayPal, Credit Karma, and Zelle rounded out the top five most installed Finance apps in the U.S. for the month.

Store Intelligence users can see app download estimates for the above apps in addition to historical performance metrics on the Sensor Tower platform. Our estimates include downloads for the App Store and Google Play in the U.S. between August 1, 2018 and August 31, 2019. Apple apps and Google pre-installed apps are excluded. We report unique installs only. Android estimates do not include third-party stores. Figures represent aggregate installs of all app versions, ex: Facebook and Facebook Lite.
