Top Fintech Apps Worldwide for October 2019 by Downloads

Google Pay (Tez) was the most downloaded fintech app worldwide for October 2019 with close to 17 million installs, which represented a 24 percent increase from October 2018. The country with the most installs of the app during this period was India at 99 percent of its total downloads. The full top 10 ranking of fintech apps worldwide by downloads for October 2019 is above. App download estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

PhonePe was the second most installed fintech app worldwide last month with close to six million installs, which represented a 23 percent increase from October 2018. The country with the largest number of PhonePe installs was also India at 99 percent. PayPal, YONO SBI, and Alipay rounded out the top five most installed fintech apps worldwide for the month.

Our estimates include downloads for the App Store and Google Play worldwide between October 1, 2018 and October 31, 2019. Apple apps and Google pre-installed apps are excluded.
