Top Grocery Store Apps in the U.S. for 2018 by Downloads

See the top grocery store apps in 2018 by downloads in the U.S. according to Sensor Tower data.

The most downloaded grocery store app in the United States for 2018 was Walmart with close to 18 million new installs, which marked a 37 percent increase year-over-year. The full ranking of the top 10 most downloaded grocery store apps is above. App download estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

Target was the second most downloaded grocery store app in the U.S. with more than 10 million installs. The next most downloaded app was Walmart Grocery, followed by Kroger and Whole Foods.

Both the Walmart Grocery and Whole Foods apps saw tremendous year-over-year growth in 2018 at 285 percent and 293 percent, respectively. A majority of Walmart Grocery's new installs came in the second half of the year, while Whole Food saw a surge in downloads beginning in April and peaking in July of last year.
