Tinder dominated the top grossing dating apps worldwide for 2018 on the App Store and Google Play, shown above, accounting for more than 59 percent of revenue among the top 10. These estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.
With more than $816 million in gross revenue, Tinder topped the charts for dating app revenue in both the U.S. and worldwide. The second highest grossing dating app was Bumble, followed by Badoo, Tapple, and MOMO.
Although Tinder's app downloads only increased by 5 percent year-over-year worldwide in 2018, its gross revenue increased by 85 percent. Bumble, on the other hand, has seen higher percentage growth both in terms of app downloads and revenue YoY in 2018, with a 34 percent increase in downloads and revenue growth of 174 percent.
