The top grossing Photo & Video category app worldwide for August 2019 was YouTube with close to $55 million in user spending, a 2.4x increase from August 2018. Approximately 68 percent of YouTube’s revenue was from the United States, followed by 7 percent from Japan and 4 percent from Great Britain. Tencent Video was the second highest earning Photo & Video category app worldwide for August 2019 with more than $48 million in gross revenue, which represented 61 percent year-over-year growth from August 2018. About 99 percent of Tencent Video’s revenue was from China. The next top grossing app was iQIYI, followed by Youku and Kuaishou.
