The top grossing Photo & Video category app worldwide for January 2020 was YouTube with $65.5 million in user spending, which represented 85 percent growth from January 2019. YouTube’s top countries for user spending were the United States with 58 percent of all revenue earned, followed by 8 percent from Japan and 4 percent from Great Britain. TikTok was the second highest earning Photo & Video category app worldwide for January 2020 with $28.6 million in gross revenue, more than 4x what it earned in January 2019. TikTok’s top two countries for user spending were China with an 85 percent share of the revenue, followed by 10 percent from the U.S. The next top grossing app in the category was Twitch, followed by Kuaishou and PicsArt.
