Top Mobile Games Worldwide for April 2022 by Downloads

See the top mobile games worldwide for March 2022 by downloads, according to Sensor Tower data.

Subway Surfers from Sybo Games was the most downloaded mobile game worldwide for April 2022 with 26.6 million installs, which represented a 2.1 times increase from April 2021. The countries with the most installs of the game during this period were India at approximately 18 percent of its total downloads and the United States at 8.2 percent. The full top 10 ranking of mobile games worldwide by downloads for April 2022 is above. Game download estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

Garena Free Fire from Garena was the second most installed mobile game worldwide last month with 25.2 million installs, which represented a 41.8 percent increase from April 2021. The countries with the largest number of Garena Free Fire installs were India (for Free Fire Max only) at 33.6 percent, followed by Indonesia at 10 percent. Ludo King from Gametion, Roblox from Roblox Corporation, and Fill The Fridge from Zynga’s Rollic Games rounded out the top five most installed mobile games worldwide for the month.

The global mobile games market generated 4.7 billion downloads across the App Store and Google Play in April 2022, marking an increase of 2.6 percent year-over-year. The No. 1 market for global game downloads was India, which accumulated approximately 783 million installs, or 16.6 percent of total worldwide downloads. The U.S. ranked No. 2 for downloads at 8.4 percent, followed by Brazil at 7.8 percent.
