The countries with the largest number of Crash Bandicoot: On the Run installs were the United States at 25.7 percent, followed by Brazil at 11.7 percent. Garena Free Fire from Garena, High Heels from Zynga, and Among Us from InnerSloth rounded out the top five most installed mobile games worldwide for the month.
Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is one of the year’s most high profile launches and continues the trend of PC and console IP expanding onto mobile. The title was officially launched on March 25 and went on to generate 27 million downloads by the end of March, and to date has now accumulated nearly 33 million installs. It’s another example of how these big franchises can find success with mobile audiences, and is also a signal of the power of IP, with IDFA changes looming on the App Store.
While Among Us downloads have declined since a peak of 82.8 million in September 2020, it still accumulated 15.2 million installs in March. The title continues to be a global hit, and with a new Airship map landing on March 31 and a recent Twitch stream with Jimmy Fallon, there’s still plenty of life left in 2020’s big indie sensation.
