Top News Apps Worldwide for July 2019 by Downloads

Toutiao was the most downloaded news app worldwide for July 2019 with close to 4.9 million installs, which represented 2.6x growth from July 2018. The country with the largest number of Toutiao installs was China at 98 percent of its total downloads. The full top 10 ranking of news apps worldwide by downloads for July 2019 is above. App download estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

Dailyhunt was the second most installed news app worldwide last month with more than 3.6 million installs, which represented a 7 percent increase from July 2018. The country with the largest number of Dailyhunt installs was India at 98 percent. Cricbuzz, Opera News, and News Break rounded out the top five most installed news apps worldwide for the month.
