In the fourth quarter of 2025, the top five food delivery apps on Android in the United States demonstrated varied performances in terms of downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.
DoorDash - Dasher showed a consistent download pattern throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked at around 162K in early October and late December, with a notable mid-quarter dip. Active user numbers remained strong, starting at 1.8M and slightly fluctuating, peaking at approximately 1.8M in mid-December.
The DoorDash: Food, Grocery, More app maintained a steady download rate, averaging around 105K weekly downloads, with a slight increase in early December. Active users saw growth from 8.1M to over 8.7M by the end of the quarter, indicating a robust user engagement.
Uber Eats: Food and Grocery experienced a decline in downloads, starting at approximately 94K in early October and dropping to around 76K by the end of December. Despite this, active users showed resilience, maintaining numbers around 3.3M to 3.6M throughout the quarter.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced a significant drop in downloads, from about 86K in late October to around 36K by year-end. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 1.3M in late October and decreasing to 933K by the end of December.
Finally, Instacart: Get Food Delivery saw its downloads peak in early December at approximately 60K, followed by a decrease to 34K by the end of the month. Active users peaked at over 4M in early December, before slightly declining to 3.4M at the quarter's close.
