On July 28, Next Games released their augmented reality title—and Pokémon GO competitor—The Walking Dead: Our World. In the nearly two months since, the game has reached $8 million in gross worldwide revenue according to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence estimates.
The Walking Dead: Our World arrived a few months after Ludia released its AR title Jurassic World Alive, which recently surpassed $25 million in worldwide gross revenue. The Walking Dead: Our World has been installed more than 1.7 million times so far, compared to the estimated 7.6 million its dinosaur-themed counterpart saw during the same amount of time post-launch.
To date, The Walking Dead: Our World has received most of its revenue from U.S. players, who account for about 40 percent of the game's worldwide spending. Germany represents the next largest slice of revenue at 14 percent.
