ASMR Slicing from Crazy Labs was the most downloaded mobile game worldwide for May 2020 with 36.5 million installs. PUBG Mobile from Tencent was the second most installed mobile game worldwide last month with 34.2 million installs, which represented a 91 percent year-over-year increase from May 2019. The countries with the largest number of PUBG Mobile installs were India at 35.8 percent, followed by Egypt at 7.2 percent. Garena Free Fire from Garena, Save The Girl from Lion Studios, and Gardenscapes from Playrix rounded out the top five most installed mobile games worldwide for the month.

Coin Master from Moon Active notably entered the top 10 download rankings on the App Store last month. The game has increased user spending substantially over the past year, becoming a global top grosser, largely thanks to Google Play revenue. However, App Store downloads have been on the increase since January 2020, hitting a record 5 million in May, suggesting a concerted user acquisition campaign on Apple's marketplace. This has coincided with a large increase in player spending, which grew to $36.6 million on iOS last month, another record.
