As the year 2020 drew to a close, the horror game genre maintained its popularity among Android users in Latin America. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look into the performance of the top five horror games during the fourth quarter.

Scary Teacher 3D, developed by Z & K Games, showed a decrease in downloads from 261K in the last week of September to 176K by the end of December. The weekly active users followed a similar downward trend, starting at 1M and dipping to 949K in the same period. Revenue for the game also saw a decline, from $870 in the week of September 28 to $354 in the final week of the year.

The classic horror escape game Granny by DVloper experienced fluctuating downloads, peaking at 227K in the third week of December, while the weekly active users saw a rise from 825K to 880K during Q4. Despite a slight revenue drop from $33 to $1 weekly, the game's engagement levels remained strong.

DVloper's sequel, Granny: Chapter Two, did not generate revenue but saw an increase in downloads from 111K to 130K. The weekly active users also grew, starting at 741K and reaching 806K by the end of December.

Ice Scream 1: Scary Game by Keplerians Horror Games showed a steady increase in both downloads and weekly active users. Downloads grew from 88K to 97K, while active users increased from 255K to 276K. The game's revenue saw minor fluctuations, ending the quarter at $29 in the last week of December.

Lastly, the newcomer My Town Halloween - Ghost game from My Town Games Ltd, launched in November, surged in downloads from 91K in its first recorded week to a peak of 245K in early December before settling at 63K. The weekly active users mirrored this trajectory, spiking at 252K and concluding at 68K. Revenue numbers were modest, starting at $14 and slightly decreasing to $11 by the end of Q4.
