Q4 2020 UK Android Market: Top Music and Podcast Apps Performance

As the year 2020 came to a close, the UK's Android market saw varied performances among the top music and podcast applications. Data from Sensor Tower presents a snapshot of the trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for these leading apps.

TuneIn Radio: Music & Sports experienced a decrease in weekly revenue from $6.7K to $3.9K over the quarter. Downloads showed a similar downward trend, starting at around 6.3K and ending at 5.8K. Weekly active users peaked at 100K in early November but dipped to 72.6K by the end of December.

Podcast Player App - Castbox saw its revenue fluctuate, with a notable drop to $358 in late November, before rebounding to $524 by year-end. Downloads remained fairly stable, with a slight increase to 1.6K in the final week of December. Weekly active users showed a decline from 121.4K to 101K during the quarter.

Stitcher - Podcast Player had modest revenue figures, ranging from $680 to $514. Downloads saw a decline, with a peak of 402 in early October and a low of 189 in mid-December. Active users also saw a decrease from 4.8K to 3.8K over the same period.

Podcast App - Podcasts witnessed its revenue vary, peaking at $566 in early November and settling at $412 by the end of December. The app's downloads peaked at 1.1K in late October and ended the quarter at 966. Active users showed a slight decline from 2.1K to 1.9K.

Anghami: Play music & Podcasts had an overall increase in revenue from $404 to $552 through Q4. The app's downloads and active users fluctuated slightly, with downloads ending at 185 in the last week of December and active users at 1.8K.
