In the final quarter of 2020, Europe's Android users navigated the world of apps to find their way. According to data from Sensor Tower, the performance of the top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform revealed interesting user engagement and download patterns.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a slight downtrend in downloads from 194K in the last week of September to 148K by the year's end. The weekly active users for Waze started strong at 4.4M but dipped to 3.3M in early November before rebounding to nearly 4M active users by the close of December.

GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation generated revenues ranging from $1.6K to $2.2K weekly, with its downloads peaking at 155K in the first week of December. The active user base showed a similar spike in December, reaching 403K after a low of 259K in early November.

Google Earth experienced a steady download rate, hovering around 120K at the start of the quarter and ending with 113K. Active users remained over the 1M mark throughout the quarter, with a slight increase observed towards the end of December, reaching 1.1M.

Google Maps Go maintained a consistent user base with active users staying close to the 320K range. Downloads saw a minor decline from 55K in late September to around 34K by the end of December.

Lastly, GPS Maps, Navigation & Traffic showed revenue between $1.3K and $2K per week. The app's downloads saw an increase towards the end of the quarter, jumping from 42K to 56K. Weekly active users fluctuated but ended on a high note with 78K in the last week of December.
