what3words: Navigation & Maps saw a significant increase in downloads from 16K in the last week of September to an impressive 55K in the final week of December. Weekly active users also surged, jumping from 84K to 167K in the same period.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced fluctuations in downloads, peaking at 18K in mid-October and dropping to 7.7K by the year's end. However, weekly active users showed a steady rise, escalating from 356K to 319K over the quarter.
Google Earth downloads began at 18K in late September and saw a decrease to 10K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users presented a slight decline initially but then increased to reach 116K in the final week of 2020.
GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation reported a drop in downloads from 10K to 6.3K during the quarter, while active users saw a dip to 24.8K at the end of December from a starting point of 30K. The app did generate some revenue, maintaining around $1K weekly throughout the quarter.
Lastly, Google Maps Go showed a decrease in downloads, from 7.6K in the first week to 5K in the final week of the quarter. The app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 25K mark.
