The final quarter of 2020 saw varied performances among the top simulation and adventure games for Android users in Australia. Data provided by Sensor Tower allows us to delve into the trends for these popular mobile applications.
Scary Teacher 3D by Z & K Games showed a slight decrease in downloads from 2M in late September to 1.6M by the end of December. Weekly active users fluctuated around 11K during the quarter, with a slight uptick in the last two weeks of December.
For PK XD: Fun, friends & games by Afterverse Games, downloads dipped from 2.3M to 1.7M, while weekly active users decreased from 13.5K to around 11.6K. Revenue for this title peaked at 1K USD in the last week of October.
Jam City's Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery remained a strong contender with revenues starting at 22K USD and ending the quarter at 17K USD. Downloads surged dramatically in the final week, jumping from 1.3K to 2.4K, and weekly active users saw a significant increase from 14K to 16.6K.
NANOBIT's Hollywood Story®: Fashion Star experienced a gradual decline in downloads, starting at 1.4K and ending at 957. Despite this, revenue saw a rise towards the end of the quarter, and weekly active users grew from 4.7K to 3.8K.
Lastly, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp by Nintendo Co., Ltd. witnessed a decrease in downloads from 1.2K to 935, with revenue ending the quarter at 1.9K USD. The game's weekly active users showed a decline initially, but ended with a slight recovery from 9.7K to 11K.
