Puzzles & Survival, published by 37GAMES, showed a steady increase in revenue from $38K to nearly $600K by the end of the quarter. Its downloads peaked at 96K in late October, with a slight decline thereafter. Weekly active users grew significantly from 14K to 89K, indicating a growing and engaged player base through Q4.
State of Survival: Zombie War, from FunPlus International AG, generated impressive revenues, starting at $1.4M and reaching up to $2.2M during the week of December 21. Downloads hit a high of 64K users in late November, while weekly active users increased from 202K to 256K, showcasing the game's strong retention and appeal.
ELECTRONIC ARTS' Plants vs. Zombies™ maintained a consistent flow of downloads, ranging from 26K to 30K. Weekly active users remained stable with a slight uptick from 176K to 178K by the year's end. Revenue figures, although modest, were consistent throughout the quarter.
Its sequel, Plants vs. Zombies™ 2, showed a more notable trend in revenue, rising from $45K to over $68K. Downloads remained fairly consistent, with a peak of 29K in late November. The weekly active users showcased a healthy retention rate, starting at 196K and finishing the quarter at 204K.
Lastly, Sniper Zombies: Offline Games by VNG Game Studios experienced a steady revenue ranging from $8K to $11K. The game saw its downloads peak at 31K in mid-December and ended the quarter with a strong base of approximately 44K weekly active users.
