Sensor Tower data offers us a glimpse into how these prehistoric-themed apps performed in the fourth quarter of the year. Here's a look at the top five contenders and their performance metrics.
Steve | Widget Dinosaur Game by Calm Sea Enterprise showed a decrease in both downloads and weekly active users over the quarter. Starting with a strong 38K downloads and 93K active users in the last week of September, the game ended December with about 9K downloads and 23K weekly active users.
The formidable Jurassic World™: The Game from Jam City, Inc. maintained a steady performance, with revenues peaking at $25K in the week of December 21. Downloads saw a significant jump from 5K to approximately 9K in the same period, while active users increased from 52K to 57K, showing a healthy engagement during the holiday season.
Geisha Tokyo Inc.'s Dinosaur Rampage experienced fluctuating download numbers, starting at 3K and peaking at 5K by the end of December. Active users showed a positive trend, climbing from 11K to over 15K during the quarter.
Another Jam City title, Jurassic World Alive, observed a similar pattern in revenue to its sister game, with a notable increase in the festive week of December 21, reaching nearly $28K. Downloads and active users also saw a boost, concluding the quarter with over 5K downloads and 35K active users.
Lastly, ARK: Survival Evolved by Studio Wildcard displayed a revenue increase in the holiday season, with $5.5K in the week leading up to Christmas. Downloads were consistent, with a slight rise from 2K to 3K, while weekly active users showed healthy growth from 15K to 17K by the year's end.
