As the year 2020 drew to a close, the UK's mobile jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts were actively engaging with their favorite apps. Let's delve into the performance of the top five jigsaw puzzle applications across the unified platform, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.
Jigsaw Puzzles for Adults HD saw a steady increase in downloads, peaking at 14K in mid-December, while weekly active users (WAUs) climbed to nearly 20K during the holiday season. Its revenue also spiked, reaching over $10K in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
Similarly, Jigsaw Puzzle experienced a surge in revenue, hitting $8.8K at year's end. Downloads, however, showed a different trend, with a sharp decline from 7.3K in October to under 1K by the end of December. WAUs followed a descending trajectory from 26K to 16K in the same period.
Magic Jigsaw Puzzles-Games HD maintained a relatively stable revenue throughout Q4, ending with $6.9K. Downloads remained robust, ranging from 6K to 10K, and WAUs saw a slight dip from 61K in early December to 55K by the month's close.
For Jigsaw Puzzles Epic, the revenue figures were more modest, with the highest point reaching $1.6K at the end of December. The app's downloads saw an uptick from 1.7K to 2.7K, and WAUs increased marginally from 5.7K to 6.1K across the quarter.
Lastly, Disney Jigsaw Puzzles! showed fluctuating revenue, concluding the year at $688. Download numbers saw a rise towards the end of December to over 1K, while WAUs remained relatively stable, ending the year just under 15K.
The data from Sensor Tower provides further insights into the performance of these applications. It's clear that while some apps saw a boost in user activity and revenue during the festive period, others faced declines in downloads, indicating varying user preferences and behaviors in the UK's jigsaw puzzle app market during the final quarter of 2020.
