As the year 2020 came to a close, the Pinball/Brick Breaker category saw interesting trends in Australia. Data provided by Sensor Tower gives us a glimpse into how these games performed on the unified platform during the fourth quarter.
Bricks Ball Crusher showed a strong finish to the year, with downloads peaking at 7K in the last week of December. The game's revenue also saw an upward trend, ending at approximately $11K in the same period, while weekly active users climbed to 58K.
Bricks n Balls experienced fluctuations in revenue, with a notable dip in October, but managed to bounce back to $3K by the end of December. The game's downloads hit a high of nearly 1K in November, while weekly active users settled at around 54K at the end of Q4.
Puzzle1Studio's Brick Out - Shoot the ball saw a significant surge in revenue from $1647 to $4686 during the first and last weeks of December, respectively. Downloads spiked at 24K in the first week of December, and active users reached a high of 59K mid-December.
The performance of Bricks Breaker Quest by MOBIRIX remained relatively steady, with revenue hovering around the $600 mark and downloads at just under 1K by year-end. Weekly active users saw a slight decrease, ending at 11K.
Tech Tree Games LLC's Idle Brick Breaker - Breakout also had a stable quarter. While the game's revenue rose to $1K, downloads and active users showed modest growth, ending at 707 and 628, respectively.
