In the first quarter of 2021, the French Android market for apparel apps saw varied user engagement and download trends. Sensor Tower provides a closer look at how these applications performed during this period.
Vinted - Buy and sell clothes, a leading platform for second-hand fashion, showed a consistent increase in downloads, peaking at 68K in early March before a dip to 44K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users (WAU) followed a similar upward trajectory, reaching a high of 1.4M in mid-March.
SHEIN-Shopping Online experienced a surge in downloads, from 40K to over 63K, demonstrating the app's growing popularity. The WAU also saw a significant boost, jumping from approximately 797K at the start of the quarter to over 1.35M by the end.
Zalando – online fashion store faced some fluctuations in downloads, with an initial decrease to 21K in February, followed by a rebound to 25K by the end of March. The WAU showed resilience, with an increase from 380K to over 450K, indicating a solid user base.
Vestiaire Collective saw its downloads peak at 30K in mid-January before declining to just under 10K by the close of the quarter. The WAU reflected this trend with a peak of 98.5K, later settling around 79K.
Lastly, Floryday - Shopping & Fashion had its highest downloads at the start of the quarter with 23K, which decreased to around 11K and then recovered to 21K by the quarter's end. The app's WAU followed a similar pattern, dipping to 30K and rising back to 38K.
