As the digital fashion industry continues to flourish, we've observed some interesting trends among the top apparel applications in Latin America for the first quarter of 2021. Here's a rundown of their performance on the Android platform, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.
SHEIN-Shopping Online kicked off the quarter with approximately 733K downloads in the last week of December, peaking at nearly 963K downloads by the end of March. The app's weekly active users saw a steady increase from about 5.1M to over 8.1M in the same period, reflecting a strong upward trend in user engagement.
The adidas app started with downloads at around 135K in the final week of December 2020, which then fluctuated throughout the quarter, ending at about 60K in the last week of March. Weekly active users varied, with a high of approximately 828K in early February and closing the quarter with around 727K users.
ROMWE - Ultimate Cyber Mall experienced its highest number of weekly downloads in early January with over 123K, which then declined to about 69K by the end of March. The app's active users ranged from about 268K to nearly 307K throughout the quarter, ending with approximately 287K active users in the last week.
PatPat - Kids & Baby Clothing showed a significant jump in downloads from 24K in the last week of December to over 115K in mid-March, before dipping to around 80K by the quarter's end. The app's weekly active users followed a similar pattern, starting at about 66K and reaching a high of over 249K in mid-March, before ending the quarter with around 215K weekly active users.
Lastly, Floryday - Shopping & Fashion saw its downloads decrease from 134K at the end of December to just under 36K by the end of March. Active users peaked at around 220K in early January and dropped to approximately 110K by the close of the quarter.
