In the first quarter of 2021, dragon enthusiasts across Europe have shown their unwavering interest in dragon-themed mobile games on the Android platform. Sensor Tower's data gives us a glimpse into the performance of the top five dragon games during this period.
Frost & Flame: King of Avalon, published by FunPlus International AG, showed a consistent revenue trend with a noticeable peak of around $805K in the last week of March. Downloads for the game peaked in early February with over 125K, while weekly active users saw a high of over 400K in the same month.
Another popular title, Dragon Mania Legends by Gameloft SE, experienced fluctuating revenue with a significant spike in mid-February reaching over $118K. Downloads showed a gradual decline from 150K at the end of December to 77K by the end of March. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a slight dip to around 750K by the end of the quarter.
Dragonscapes Adventure from Century Games PTE. LTD. saw an impressive revenue increase, ending March with over $200K. The game’s downloads peaked at over 119K in early February, while active users showed a rising trend, reaching a high of nearly 290K in late March.
Dragon City Mobile, developed by Social Point, had its highest revenue of over $124K in early March. The game maintained a steady download rate, concluding the quarter with over 72K downloads in the last week of March. It also boasted a significant active user base, which peaked at over 1.6M in late March.
Lastly, Merge Dragons! by Zynga demonstrated a revenue trend with a peak of $411K in mid-January. Downloads for the game decreased over the quarter, with around 52K in the last week of March. However, weekly active users showed resilience, maintaining a figure of over 1.1M throughout the quarter.
