In the first quarter of 2021, the fitness and weight loss category saw significant activity on the Android platform within Latin America. Data from Sensor Tower gives us a closer look at the performance of the top applications in this space.

The Lose Weight App for Women by Leap Fitness Group experienced a peak in downloads, reaching 225K in the third week of January before gradually decreasing to 156K by the end of March. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, starting at 1.31M and peaking at 1.57M in late January, with a slight dip to 1.54M by the end of March.

Another popular choice, Workout for Women: Fit at Home, also published by Leap Fitness Group, showed a steady increase in downloads, starting at 113K in the last week of December and reaching its highest at 243K in the last week of March. Weekly active users climbed from 954K to 1.18M in the same period.

Six Pack in 30 Days, yet another Leap Fitness Group app, witnessed its downloads grow from 98K to 158K mid-March before slightly dropping to 149K. Weekly active users increased from 920K to 1.12M by the third week of March and then slightly decreased to 1.1M.

The Home Workout - No Equipment app showed a decline in downloads over the quarter, from 102K in late December to 85K by the end of March. Its weekly active users saw a decrease from 914K to 871K during the same timeframe.

Lastly, Kompanion: At Home Workouts experienced the most volatility. Its downloads saw a sharp increase from 57K to 262K in the first week of March, followed by a significant drop to 30K in mid-March, before rising again to 147K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users mirrored this pattern, with a peak at 301K in early March and then falling to 73K before climbing back up to 187K.
