Top 5 Android Insurance Apps in Europe Q1 2021: Sensor Tower Analysis

As the first quarter of 2021 closes, Sensor Tower provides a snapshot of the Android insurance app market in Europe. Our data reveals how five key players performed in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

UnipolSai Assicurazioni, an Italian insurance app, saw its downloads peak in mid-January with roughly 32K before tapering off to 13K by the end of March. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, starting at 40K, spiking to 48K, and then decreasing to 26K.

CLARK - Versicherungen managen, hailing from Germany, experienced its highest number of weekly downloads at the end of January, reaching approximately 19K. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, with a high of 25K in the same month, but both metrics declined to 4K downloads and 11K active users by the end of Q1.

Hastings Direct Insurance showed a significant spike in downloads and active users in late March, with downloads jumping to 15K from an average of around 5K. Active users also saw a substantial rise to 24K in the same period, up from an average of 12K.

MAPFRE Seguros had a noteworthy week in late February, with downloads soaring to 16K and weekly active users reaching 63K. The app, however, closed the quarter with a decrease to 3K downloads and active users falling to 42K.

Vivinter experienced its highest downloads in mid-February, with a peak at 22K, but saw a decline to 1K by the end of March. Active user data for Vivinter was not available.
